Portra Terms of Use
Please read these Terms of Use before using Portra. By using the App, you agree to these terms.
1. Service Description
Portra is a mobile app that helps users transform photos into passport, visa, ID, and portrait-style images using AI-powered tools. The App may offer country and document format selection, background editing, outfit style options, image generation, saving, and sharing features.
2. Eligibility
By using the App, you agree to comply with applicable laws and to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not use the App if you are under 13 years old.
3. User Responsibilities
- You represent that you have the right to use any photo you upload or process in the App.
- You must not process photos of other people without appropriate permission.
- You must not use the App for identity fraud, document fraud, impersonation, deception, or illegal activity.
- You are responsible for checking whether an AI-generated result meets the requirements of the relevant authority before using it.
4. AI Results and Official Document Requirements
Portra aims to generate professional-looking and biometric-style photos, but we do not guarantee acceptance by any government agency, embassy, consulate, passport office, or other official authority. Photo requirements may vary by country, document type, and application channel.
Before using a generated result, you should review the current photo rules of the relevant authority.
5. Credits and In-App Purchases
- Portra may use a credit system for photo generation.
- Each successful generation may consume one or more credits.
- Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store.
- Prices, currency, and taxes are shown and handled by the App Store.
- If a transaction or generation fails, your credit balance may be synchronized on the server side.
- Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and may only be used inside Portra.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
Purchases made through the App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies. Refund requests are managed through your Apple account or Apple support channels. Portra may not be able to directly reverse payments processed by Apple.
7. Login-Free Account and Recovery Code
Portra is designed to work without forcing users to sign in with email, Google, or Apple. The App may create a Portra user ID and device ID in the background.
A recovery code may be shown inside the App to help restore credits. You are responsible for keeping this code safe. If the App is deleted, your device changes, or local data is lost, it may not be possible to reconnect credits without the recovery code.
8. Prohibited Uses
- Generating images for fake IDs, fake documents, fraud, impersonation, or deception.
- Using another person's photo without permission.
- Sending automated, excessive, abusive, or harmful requests to the service.
- Attempting to bypass security measures, the credit system, or purchase verification.
- Any use that violates applicable laws or regulations.
9. Intellectual Property
The Portra name, design, software, brand elements, and in-app interfaces are owned by us or our licensors. You retain your rights in photos you upload. Portra processes user photos only as needed to provide the service.
10. Service Changes and Interruptions
App features, prices, credit packages, supported country or document formats, and AI providers may change over time. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party outages, or security reasons.
11. Limitation of Liability
Portra aims to provide the App with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee that AI results will always be error-free, complete, accepted by official authorities, or suitable for your specific purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect damages, lost revenue, rejected applications, or decisions made by third parties.

13. Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated terms.
